DPlus Bombs
This work is more pop than what I normally paint, however it's still in line with what I do. It is actually a little more of a study than a finished work. The inspiration for this came from a book about matchbook covers. I've always had a liking for pop art but never felt close enough to 'cool' things to really be in the scene. But the image quality is something Ive been wanting to incorporate more and more and so have been making a study of graphic design color and then adding painterly relationships instead of direct graphic color. It's also somewhat related to my stint doing graffiti work.

Recent Work
These were painted at the beginning of summer when the lotus first starts to appear, allowing us to feel the sticky, wet heat of the season. The octopus, while not native to places lotus are found , frolics and hides behind the leaves seemingly at home. Yet as we all feel out of place sometimes, these images juxtaposed help us to relate to the problem of fitting in.
